Goodbye (a poem)

Sadness creeps in as night falls;
Loneliness invades my soul
As anger finally departs.

It’s time to let go,
To move on.

I’ve said those same words
Dozens of times.
But today, I finally hear them.

I’m ready to say,
Goodbye to you.
